The procurement, process and study of human temporal bones is a time-consuming and costly research endeavor. This section describes how to remove temporal bones and process them for standard light microscopy as well as other methods of study.  It also give researchers access to the National Temporal Bone database, and a database of genes expressed in the mouse cochlea.
